            Weddings At Alfred's Homestead

   Alfred's Homestead caters for the
           special private wedding -
           ie Exclusive Use of  the Restaurant.
           or  shared wedding          
         -  ie Sharing Restaurant with other
                guests but with only one Bride and Groom at a time.

     Exclusive Use :   Any Lunch or Night except for Saturday Night
           or Sunday Lunch is recommended for exclusive use - we charge

            a little more for Exclusive use on Saturday Night or Sunday Lunch.


           You have a Choice of menu  -  the traditional Sit Down Menu
           or A Carvery /Smorgasbord with Seafood.

           We allow use of  the Gardens and Gazebo at no extra Charge.
           The quote usually allows for at least 7 hours if the Wedding is held

           in our Garden or inside in front of our huge fireplce .

     Our Prices at present for approx. 100 for Exclusive use is :

           Saturday Night                    $110.00
           Sunday Lunch                      $90.00
           Friday Night                         $80.00
           Mon-Thursday Night          $70.00

           Saturday Lunch                   $66.00

      The Price includes :

                  -  exclusive use of the Restaurant - Restaurant customers are turned away
                            if a night or day is booked exclusively to a special function.

                  -  A good 6 hours for Night with up to 7 hours if the wedding is held in our
                      Garden or in front of the Fireplace.
                  -  Hot and Cold Savouries with pre-dinner drinks of  sherries,beer,wine,
                      soft drink and juices
                  -  Bottled Red and White Wine with Champagne for toast. Table Service
                      for other drinks that may be required on a Pay-as-you-go Basis.

                    -  Round Tables of 8 or 10 - the 10's can seat up to 12.
                  -  Candlelabra with flowers at the Base of each Candlelabra.
                  -  Linen Serviettes with required Coloured paper napkin in a Fan.
                  -  A Master of Ceremonies if Required
                  -   Cutting and Bagging of your Wedding Cake - we provide cake bags

                  -  Placing of your Place Cards according to your directions.
       
           Entertainment is extra - but if you choose Our Band or one of our 3 DJ's you do not
                                                     need to cover the cost of their Meals or drinks.
            Our price for each musician for food and drink is normally 25% of the
             normal price per person.

            Please Note that we Do work on the Number on the Night and refund in full
             for any person booked that does not attend.
            Deposit is Normally $1000 and we do prefer payment a week before if possible.                                             

     Shared Basis :  Saturday Night is a perfect time to share the
          Restaurant for a wedding.
         The normal hours on Saturday night are 7pm to Midnight.
          Prices for A Shared Wedding on Saturday Night Start at
         $52.00pp + drinks.
         The Hours Recommended for a Shared Wedding are 4:30pm-12:30am.
         On A Shared Basis we require the wedding Guests to be in by 5:30pm
         so that we can do the Speeches at 6:15pm Well Before the Restaurant
         Guests arrive.
         Since the food, a Full Carvery/Smorgasbord ,begins at 7:30pm - it is
         necessary to provide light savouries at no extra cost;  it is not wise
         to have guests drinking alcohol for 2 hours on an empty stomach.
         Saturday Night includes entertainment in the form of a Live Band and
         a Floorshow most nights .
         The Band time is 8pm to Midnight and the Floorshow is
         normally about 40minutes starting around 9:30pm.
        The Dance floor is full for the night providing a warm party
         atmosphere for the small wedding party.
        The Floorshow Artist normally dedicates an appropriate song to the
        Bride and Groom.
        The Dancing can be formally begun with The Bridal Waltz
        at about 8:30pm and when the band finishes at midnight
        Clap-Along Music is used for the Circle allowing  the Bride and
         Groom the chance to see everyone before they leave- they also
        have a chance to  throw the Bouquet and Garter if they wish.

        Sunday Lunch Shared Basis allows a Bride and Groom to be
        married in the Gazebo or in front of the Fireplace if it rains
        at approx. 11am and come inside for a Carvery Smorgasbord
        with Seafood which begins at 12 noon.
        There are 3 areas each with their own microphone facility
        for speeches .
 

       The Speeches can be followed by a bridal waltz to Taped Music
       at Approx. 3pm followed by  Clap-Along music at approx.
       3:30pm to finish formally about 3:45pm-4pm.
       Prices for A Shared Wedding on Sunday Lunch Start at $52.00pp
       and include  House wine,Beer Soft Drinks and All the
       Wedding Trimmings.
       Wedding Trimmings include : Linen Serviettes, Bridal Table
       with Surround and with flower decoration at the Base of the Candelabra ;
        cake bags are also provided.
       The Price includes the Full Carvery Smorgasbord with Seafood
       and  Coffee,Tea and Iced Filtered Water ; an MC is available
       if required at no extra charge.
       All Drinks are Table Service Only with Pay-As - You Go Basis for
       any other Drinks Required.
